This role sits within the engineering organization and owns quality within the product team.
The position is collaborative rather than a standalone or siloed QA role, contributing directly to product delivery, stability, and scalability.
Main Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in test automation within product or platform teams.
- Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript or JavaScript and end-to-end tests maintained alongside application code.
- Experience collaborating with Backend, Frontend, and DevOps engineers in cross-functional teams.
- Practical experience with Playwright or an equivalent modern end-to-end testing framework.
- Understanding of the test pyramid, shift-left testing, contract testing, REST API testing, data validation, and system-level testing.
- Ability to design and implement mocks, stubs, and other test doubles for stable and isolated tests.
- Understanding of object-oriented or functional programming concepts applied to test code and frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with test observability and reporting tools such as Allure, TestOps, or CI-based reporting.
- Intermediate-level or higher English proficiency, written and spoken.
Nice to Have
- Experience writing and maintaining integration tests, including service-to-service and contract-based testing.
- Experience contributing to the design and evolution of test automation frameworks.
- Practical knowledge of Docker and test environment configuration.
- Experience testing GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with distributed systems or high-load platforms.
- Experience in non-functional testing, including performance, reliability, and resilience testing.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain TypeScript end-to-end tests alongside application code.
- Collaborate with developers throughout feature design, implementation, and defect resolution.
- Participate in feature-level and system-level test strategy definition.
- Improve the automation testing framework and select mocks, stubs, or real integrations according to testing goals.
- Ensure automated tests are reliable, maintainable, and suitable for CI/CD execution.
- Participate in test and application code reviews when appropriate.
- Provide actionable quality and defect feedback and promote continuous improvement of testing practices.
