Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to engineering and workshop teams on inspection quality applications, tools, techniques, and systems
- Carry out dimensional inspection of rotating equipment components, including compressors, turbines, pumps, machined parts, and precision assemblies
- Perform shop floor inspection activities and provide technical guidance based on engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications
- Review OEM/client quality plans, inspection and test plans, and identify inspection stages, hold points, and witness points
- Prepare project quality plans and inspection test plans for OEM/client review and approval
- Ensure materials, components, and finished products are inspected and tested against established tolerance levels and performance requirements
- Set up and perform mechanical inspections of machined parts and completed assemblies to verify conformance to specifications, tolerances, and workmanship standards
- Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines, including Faro Arm equipment
- Use inspection tools such as gauges, micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, thread gauges, and other precision measuring instruments
- Carry out thread inspection as per API 5CT, API 5B, API 7 1, and API 7 2 specifications
- Perform PT and MT inspection activities in line with ASNT Level II certification requirements
- Conduct non conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and coordinate corrective actions with line managers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related technical discipline
- Minimum 5+ years of QC / inspection experience in workshop, machine shop, or rotating equipment repair environment
- Proven hands on experience in dimensional inspection of rotating equipment, including compressors, turbines, pumps, and related precision components
- Certified ASNT Level II in PT and MT
- Experience in API thread inspection as per API 5CT, API 5B, API 7 1, and API 7 2
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and provide guidance on engineering drawings, tolerances, specifications, and inspection requirements

Job Overview
- We are seeking a QC Engineer who will be responsible for supporting engineering and workshop teams in inspection, quality control, dimensional verification, and compliance activities related to rotating equipment such as compressors, turbines, and pumps.
- The candidate will ensure that all materials, machined components, repaired parts, and precision assemblies are inspected and tested according to company, OEM, client, regulatory, and international quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Requirements

- Proven hands on experience in dimensional inspection of rotating equipment, including compressors, turbines, pumps, and related precision components.
- Mandatory shop floor inspection experience in engineering services, machine shop, or rotating equipment workshop.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and provide guidance on engineering drawings, tolerances, specifications, and inspection requirements.
- Certified ASNT Level II in PT and MT is mandatory.
- Experience in API thread inspection as per API 5CT, API 5B, API 7 1, and API 7 2.
- Hands on experience with Faro Arm / CMM operation and programming is highly preferred.
- Skilled in using micrometers, gauges, vernier calipers, dial gauges, thread gauges, and other precision inspection tools.
- Strong knowledge of quality plans, ITPs, inspection procedures, NCR handling, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Experience coordinating with clients, OEMs, contractors, certifying authorities, and third party inspectors.
- Knowledge of calibration control, equipment verification, and inspection documentation.
Preferred Experience
- Rotating equipment repair / refurbishment workshop.
- Compressors, turbines, pumps, shafts, impellers, casings, mechanical seals, and precision assemblies.
- OEM / client quality plan preparation and approval.
- Machine shop inspection and mechanical component dimensional verification.
- Oil & Gas, petrochemical, energy, or industrial workshop background.
