About the Role
Parsons is looking for a QA/QC Material Engineer to join their team in Abu Dhabi, focusing on storm water and infrastructure projects. The role involves implementing the Quality Management System, reviewing contractor submittals, monitoring inspections, and ensuring material compliance with DMT/ADM specifications.

- Assist the Resident Engineer in implementing and enforcing the project’s Quality Management System (QMS) and Projects' Quality Plans at site level.
- Supervise and review contractors' inspection requests (IRs), verify completeness of prerequisites, and coordinate with site inspectors to perform inspections as per approved ITPs.
- Review contractor’s Method Statement, ITP, Subcontractor Prequalification documents and provide technical inputs and recommendation to the Resident Engineer.
- Monitor contractor and third party laboratory tests, ensuring compliance with approved sampling and testing plans.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, non conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and quality documentation required for final project handover.
- Ensure on time processing of non conformances reports (NCRs); follow up on closure of NCRs and observations.
- Verify compliance of materials used on site, ensuring traceability through delivery inspections and testing certificates.
- Support the QA/QC Manager in preparing periodic quality reports, trend analyses, and inputs to monthly progress reports.
- Conduct spot checks on workmanship and adherence to specifications, reporting findings to the Resident Engineer and QA/QC Manager.
- Liaise with the contractor’s QA/QC staff to resolve quality issues on site under the direction of the QA/QC Manager.
- Participate in toolbox talks or quality briefings to reinforce quality requirements at site level.
- Conduct/assist audits per the Audit schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or construction related field
- Experience in construction of Utilities, Storm water and infrastructure projects preferred in Abu Dhabi
- DMT/TAQA approved Engineer (preferrable)
- Minimum 10 years of related quality control/assurance activities with regional experience of major large scale infrastructure projects
- Basic computer skills including MS Office and project related systems
- Knowledge of Quality Management practices and processes
- Experience with quality management systems and standards specified by ISO 9000, ASME, ANSI, ASTM and similar organizations
- Ability to communicate clearly, conduct presentations, and interface effectively with diverse professionals

- In this role you will get to involve in monitoring, inspection, coordination, documentation of all material of the project to ensure that the project is constructed as per Contract requirements and specifications.
- This role requires close collaboration with contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
