QA Engineer Automation Testing

Position Overview

Manual and Automation Testing

• Analyze requirements and technical documents to create detailed test plans and test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing.
• Log, track, and retest defects using JIRA or Azure DevOps.
• Design and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright, Karate, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and related tools.
• Develop automated regression, smoke, and end-to-end test suites.
• Integrate automated tests with Jenkins or Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

API and Performance Testing

• Perform API testing and validation using Postman.
• Execute performance, load, and stress testing using JMeter and BlazeMeter.
• Analyze performance results and identify application bottlenecks.

BFSI Testing

• Validate payments, lending, core banking, KYC/AML, credit card, and insurance workflows.
• Ensure testing follows regulatory, risk, and compliance standards.
• Work with business analysts, product owners, and developers to validate financial applications.

Required Expertise

• The role overview lists 8-12 years of experience, while the expertise section lists 5-8 years of software testing experience.
• Requires manual and automation testing experience, BFSI application experience, API testing with Postman, and performance testing with JMeter and BlazeMeter.
• Requires SQL knowledge, STLC, SDLC, defect lifecycle, Agile, and CI/CD integration experience.
• Requires analytical, problem-solving, communication, independent working, and prioritization abilities.

Additional Qualifications

• Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP is listed.
• Experience with microservices, Kafka, or event-driven architectures is listed.
• ISTQB, CSTE, or an equivalent QA certification is listed.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience is required.

Working Model

• The role follows a hybrid working model based out of Bangalore.
• The role requires working three days per week from the client location.
