Position Overview
Persistent Systems is seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect with expertise in Azure data and analytics platforms.
The role designs, implements, and governs scalable cloud-native data architectures for enterprise data, analytics, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end Azure architectures using Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Data Lake.
- Implement data integration, migration, and transformation using ETL and ELT methodologies.
- Define data strategies and technical roadmaps with business and technology stakeholders.
- Guide data engineers, analysts, and data scientists on architectural best practices.
- Implement CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code deployments with DevOps teams.
- Maintain data governance frameworks for quality, lineage, cataloguing, and compliance.
- Monitor platforms for performance, scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency.
- Lead migrations from legacy platforms to Azure.
- Create HLDs, technical architecture documents, network flow diagrams, environment details, and secret inventories.
Experience and Expertise
- Ten to fifteen years of experience.
- Strong expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks.
- Knowledge of Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, and Azure Data Lake.
- Experience with Azure security, integration, networking, monitoring, and machine learning services.
- Strong SQL and database development skills.
- Experience with PowerShell, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong understanding of star and snowflake schemas and cloud-native architecture patterns.
- Experience with Power BI and enterprise analytics solutions.
- Excellent communication, strategic problem-solving, collaboration, and architectural leadership skills.
