Role Overview
Fruitful Day is seeking an experienced purchaser to own sourcing and purchasing of fruit, vegetables, and other perishables.
The role requires knowledge of the UAE fresh produce market, quality, seasonality, pricing, and supplier negotiation.
Fresh Produce Sourcing and Purchasing
- Source and purchase fresh fruit and vegetables from local UAE suppliers, wholesalers, importers, and markets.
- Identify products based on quality, specification, seasonality, price, availability, and customer requirements.
- Purchase other food and perishable items needed across operations.
- Maintain knowledge of UAE market pricing, product availability, origins, and seasonal changes.
- Identify alternative suppliers and sourcing options to reduce dependency and improve buying power.
