Role Overview
- The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring automotive spare parts, tyres, batteries, lubricants, workshop consumables, and maintenance related services.
- The role ensures timely availability of parts and services while maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, and strong supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure automotive spare parts, tyres, batteries, lubricants, workshop consumables, and maintenance related services
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing and optimum value
- Identify alternative suppliers and products to improve cost efficiency and supply continuity
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and commercial conditions with suppliers
- Issue purchase orders and monitor order execution through to delivery completion
- Coordinate with workshops, fleet maintenance teams, and operations to understand spare parts requirements
- Verify part numbers, specifications, compatibility, and technical requirements prior to procurement
- Maintain records of frequently used parts and recommended supplier lists
- Develop and maintain relationships with OEMs, authorized dealers, and aftermarket suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance against pricing, quality, delivery, and service level benchmarks
- Resolve supply issues, warranty claims, and discrepancies with vendors
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and approval procedures
