Senior Property and Non-Marine Underwriting role focused on commercial, heavy industrial, and technical risks.
The position manages underwriting decisions, portfolio performance, reinsurance coordination, and stakeholder relationships.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite property and non-marine insurance business within approved authority.
- Assess commercial, heavy industrial, and technical risks.
- Review risk reports, exposures, premiums, terms, and conditions.
- Manage renewals, pricing, retention, and portfolio profitability.
- Review portfolio accumulations and exposures.
- Coordinate with brokers, agents, clients, and reinsurers.
- Support reinsurance placement, certificates, and documentation.
- Process insurance applications and policy documentation.
- Prepare underwriting reports, statistics, and management information.
- Maintain documentation accuracy and identify process improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 10–12 years of insurance industry experience.
- Strong Property and Non-Marine Underwriting experience.
- Experience with commercial, heavy industrial, and technical risks.
- Knowledge of risk assessment, risk analysis, pricing, and reinsurance.
- Experience managing renewals, retention, and portfolio profitability.
- Strong broker, client, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making abilities.
