The role is responsible for the delivery of comprehensive estates and professional property advisory services to all relevant stakeholders within SSE.
The role involves the management of a mixed portfolio of non-operational heritable and leasehold property interests on behalf of the SSE Group, which includes liaising directly with senior managers/Directors, key stakeholders from across Corporate and BU functions and external third parties.
Contribute towards the continuous development and improvement of the Property Services function, which will lead to the increasingly efficient and effective operation of SSE’s property portfolio.
Play a pivotal role in leading and implementing the strategic development and rationalisation of SSE’s property portfolio over the next decade.
Be responsible for the management of professional, technical and consultancy teams working on behalf of Property Services, including Property Agents, Valuers, Building Surveyors and all other relevant required consultancy services.
Work with senior stakeholders from across SSE to understand future accommodation requirement (including offices, operational accommodation such as network control rooms and repair/maintenance hubs) and thereafter source suitable options, taking account of operational requirements such as location criteria, budget constraints and delivery timescales.

Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, with an associated relevant degree and a minimum of 10 years post qualification experience.
