Job Description

  • Prepare and analyze bills of quantities (BoQ) for infrastructure maintenance projects with precision and accuracy.
  • Conduct detailed cost estimation, forecasting, and budget analysis to support project planning and financial control.
  • Monitor project expenditures and provide regular cost reports to project management and stakeholders.
  • Manage contract administration, including variations, claims, and change orders in accordance with contract terms.
  • Perform quantity measurements and valuations based on project specifications and industry standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, records, and cost databases for audit and reference purposes.
  • Analyze supplier quotations and negotiate pricing to optimize procurement costs.
  • Identify and assess financial risks associated with projects and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE construction regulations, standards, and organizational policies.
  • Prepare progress reports and financial statements for management review and decision making.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 5 years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar cost management role.
  • Proven experience in infrastructure maintenance projects or related construction environments.
  • Strong expertise in cost estimation, budget management, and financial forecasting.
  • Proficiency with quantity surveying software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Touchplan, or equivalent).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Project.
  • Solid understanding of construction contracts, procurement practices, and contract administration.
  • Knowledge of UAE construction regulations, standards, and local building codes.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and ERP systems (preferred).
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
