About the Role

Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of SLAs and ensure they are being met by the implementation vendor
- Ensure smooth transition of projects to IT services at project completion
- Work with LA departments to float RFPs and select vendors for various solutions
- Ensure vendors deliver as per ITD standards
- Ensure vendor estimations (timelines, budgets, man days) are appropriate
- Monitor vendor performance throughout implementation and report issues
- Ensure project execution aligns with RTA IT Enterprise Architecture and policies
- Own project results and report progress to licensing management, PMO, and RTA executives
- Ensure achievement of project timelines and efficient use of resources
- Document project requirements in a business case or project brief
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science/IT from a recognized university with PMP
- Masters preferred
- Experience in IT project management

Job Purpose
- To ensure successful completion of IT projects within set time and monetary budgets, within the right level of agreed quality.
Key Results & Accountabilities
- Manage the delivery of these SLAs and ensure that these SLAs are being met by the implementation vendor.
- Ensure smooth transition of projects to IT services at the project completion stage.
- Work closely with LA departments to float the requisite RFPs and select vendors to implement various solutions for RTA.
- Ensure that the vendors deliver as per the standards set by the ITD
- Ensure that vendors’ proposed estimations that includes: timelines, budgets, man days and others are appropriate to the licensing agency and RTA
- Monitor the vendor performance throughout the implementation and report any issues (if they arise) during the implementation.
- Ensure the Execution of projects is done in accordance with the RTA IT Enterprise Architecture and all applicable policies.
- Own the project results and report the project progress to the licensing management, PMO and other RTA executives in co ordination with the IT management.
- Ensure achievement of project timelines, efficient use of resources to meet the project objectives.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate
- Ensure that IT PM methodology and LA PM Methodology are followed throughout the execution of a project.
- Document project requirements in a business case and/or project brief and maintain it according to the IT methodology in order to facilitate ongoing support and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Technical Competencies: Technical Solutions Development, Project Management
- Education: Bachelor degree in Computer Science/IT from a recognized university with PMP. Masters preferred
