Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the Egypt Collections Project from our UAE office.

In this role, you will act as the central coordination hub between UAE-based stakeholders, regional vendors, and multiple Egyptian bank technical teams.

Your primary mission is to ensure the successful delivery, integration testing (CIT, SIT, UAT), change management, and production release of the collections platform — while bridging time zones, regulatory environments, and cross-border working cultures.

Key Responsibilities

  • 1.
  • Support Egypt Collections Project Activities (from UAE)
  • Own the end-to-end project plan, ensuring alignment with Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) regulations and UAE-based governance standards.
  • Track milestones, risks, dependencies, and budgets across geographically distributed teams.
  • Coordinate with in-country Egypt resources and UAE-based leadership to maintain project momentum.

2. Liaise Between Bank Technical Teams

  • Act as the primary bridge between Egyptian bank tech teams (Cairo, Alexandria) and UAE-based integration leads, core banking vendors, and middleware teams.
  • Resolve cross-border technical blockers (e.g., API latency, environment access, data sovereignty issues).
  • Facilitate remote technical workshops and maintain clear, bilingual (Arabic/English) communication channels.
  • 3.
  • Ensure Delivery & Plan Testing (CIT, SIT, UAT)
  • CIT (Component Integration Testing): Coordinate with individual bank tech leads to validate internal component interfaces.
  • SIT (System Integration Testing): Design and oversee end-to-end test scenarios covering collections workflows across UAE-hosted and Egypt-hosted environments.
  • UAT (User Acceptance Testing): Engage Egyptian bank business users (collections officers, recovery teams) remotely; define test cases and manage sign-off.
  • Ensure test environments are synchronized and available across both countries.

4. Conduct Working Group Meetings

  • Chair weekly working group sessions with participants from Egypt and the UAE.
  • Manage time zone differences effectively (UAE is +1/+2 hours ahead of Egypt).
  • Distribute bilingual meeting minutes and track action items to closure within 24 hours.

5. Provide Periodic Updates to Stakeholders

  • Prepare weekly dashboards and monthly steering committee presentations for UAE-based executives and Egypt-based sponsors.
  • Highlight cross-border risks, testing progress, open change requests, and production readiness.
  • Tailor reporting for technical vs. business audiences.

6. Manage Change Requests (CRs)

  • Log, assess impact, and track all CRs (e.g., new collection rules, report formats, integration modifications).
  • Facilitate a cross-border Change Control Board (CCB) with representatives from UAE program management, Egyptian banks, and the vendor.
  • Ensure all CRs are approved, documented, and communicated before implementation.

7. Manage Production Release

  • Own the production release checklist: pre-release testing sign-off, rollback plan, cutover activities, and post-release validation.
  • Schedule releases to minimize business disruption (typically early Friday UAE time, coordinated with Egyptian bank operations).
  • Lead a remote war room from the UAE during and after each release, with Egyptian teams on standby.

Essential

  • Experience: 8–10 years of project management experience in banking technology, with at least 3 years managing cross-border or multi-country projects.
  • Domain knowledge: Collections systems, credit risk, or payment platforms in a banking environment.
  • Testing expertise: Hands-on experience planning and overseeing CIT, SIT, and UAT cycles.
  • Change & release management: Proven track record managing CRs and production releases in a regulated financial environment.
  • Language: Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken) – mandatory for stakeholder communication in Egypt and UAE.
  • Location: Based in the UAE (Dubai/Abu Dhabi) with ability to work across UAE and Egypt time zones.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) collections regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Experience working with Egyptian bank technology teams or vendors.
  • Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or SAFe Agilist.
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Power BI, and ServiceNow.
