Reporting into the Project Director this position is responsible for efficiently managing and executing assigned projects within approved parameters like cost, timelines, functionality and quality in line with the Company’s strategies and plans.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams and manage relationships with stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Conduct risk assessments and create contingency plans to mitigate potential challenges.
- Regularly communicate project status, progress, and challenges to stakeholders, including senior management.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Monitor project financials and make recommendations to adjust resources and timelines as needed.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulations to ensure projects are compliant.
- Mentor and train team members to improve their project management skills.
- Responsible for the daily management, supervision, coordination and successful completion of projects to meet time and cost objectives.
- Upon award of a project, develop project specific and client driven goals, schedules, budgets and detailed assumptions.
- Establish and maintain project process, procedures and success criteria that meets the client needs.
- Work with variety of internal and external sources and clients to ensure that projects are completed according to plans.
- Build rapport with client representatives and institution stakeholders and ensure scope of project and outside business forces affecting the project is fully understood and that specific deliverables are fully understood with performance standards and other relevant criteria.
- Coordinate any necessary due diligence efforts in support of land acquisitions, maintaining and delivering all appropriate documentation.
- Develop and maintain the Master Project Schedule.
- Working with the procurement group of the institution, prepare various RFPs needed for vendor and contractor services for the complete project.
- Facilitate a project kick-off meeting with internal staff and key stakeholders to ensure responsibilities are communicated and understood by all concerned.
- Actively track and report to the client, each aspect of project performance against schedules and critical path.
- Oversee vendor and project team members work to ensure compliance with contract and client expectations.
- Identify and address areas of concern regarding potential liabilities and risk (fee, our reputation, errors and omissions, etc.)
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of all PDS technology, or third-party software as required for assigned projects.
- Ensure accurate management of all accounts receivables to maintain a level not to exceed planned working capital charge as set.
- Accurate periodic reports with updates on the progress and costs of the project.
- Comply with all policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice.
- Drive project strategy and decision-making in line with business objectives.
- Ensure stakeholder satisfaction and maintain strong client relationships.
- Manage project risks and implement mitigation plans proactively.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- 14+ years of experience in managing high-end residential mid/high-rise projects.
- Proven track record with a reputable developer or main contractor in Qatar.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
