About the Role

  • We are seeking a detail oriented and experienced Project Engineer (Bridges & Highway Structures O&M) to join our team in Doha, Qatar on a long term project managing the Strategic Highways Structures in the country.
  • You will be responsible for supporting the Structures Manager to coordinate and manage Inspections and Maintenance of bridges and highway structures across the network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all activities assigned by the Project Manager to ensure compliance with contractual requirements for Inspections, Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance, meeting all required SLAs and KPIs.
  • Ensure daily effective utilization of all staff working for Structures (both in house and subcontractors) eliminating waste and ensuring consistency.
  • Ensure accurate utilization of Asset Management System (MAXIMO) to manage and close out Work Orders (Wos) and Service Request (SRs) correctly and efficiently by all stakeholders.
  • Support structures manager to manage deliverables, represent structures in client meetings and engage with stakeholders, subcontractors and in house teams.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams (e.g. traffic management, lighting, highways, pavement, HSE and other teams) to ensure integrated network operations and maintenance and maximize efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Project Management qualification and experience
  • Proven experience in Operations and Maintenance contracts of bridges and other highway structures.
  • Proven experience of multidisciplinary liaison, project delivery and client engagement.
  • Knowledge in bridge asset management, condition assessment methodologies, and lifecycle planning.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management solutions (preferably MAXIMO) and Bridge Management Systems (preferably BMS).
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to interpret data and develop programs for preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and capital improvement schemes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and getting deliverables right first time.
  • Effective communication skills, including preparation of technical reports and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Ability and willingness to travel for meetings, site visits and client visits.
