Project Engineer I

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy complex mining products and projects in a hands-on manner.
• Support and maintain software and deliver bespoke customizations.
• Troubleshoot issues across multiple integrated systems.
• Implement customer system configurations and customizations using scripting tools.
• Participate in onsite system installation efforts.
• Report product and technical risks, issues, status, and resolution methods to stakeholders.
• Escalate critical issues to mining services and supporting teams when necessary.
• Maintain technical knowledge of current and upcoming products and relevant support technologies.
• Advise the Mining Services team of customer issues and potential opportunities.
• Collaborate with sales on technical presentations and other pre-sales activities.
• Represent Hexagon Mining professionally and maintain effective customer relationships.
• Follow documentation, reporting, workplace health, safety, audit, and compliance procedures.

Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent foreign qualification in computer, mining, electrical, or electronic engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• At least three years of mining industry experience or experience as a software engineer, software consultant, mining engineer, or in a related occupation.
• Proficiency in English is required; French and Portuguese are considered assets.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, SQLite, SQL Server, Linux, Linux shell scripting, and Ubuntu.
• Experience working with remote teams is highly desirable.

Travel Requirements

• Local, national, and international travel is required to deliver services at client sites.
• A valid driver's license and passport or visa, where appropriate, are required.
