Project Engineer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations and align progress with the approved project schedule and baseline.
• Monitor planned versus actual progress and identify potential construction or material procurement delays.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, and site teams.
• Ensure construction complies with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and UAE requirements.
• Manage drawings, permits, progress reports, inspections, and project records.
• Identify and resolve technical, construction, and coordination issues promptly.
• Monitor orders, invoices, deliveries, loading and unloading, material inspection, and procurement quality control.
• Ensure materials meet approved specifications and are available according to the project programme.
• Report milestones, progress, risks, challenges, and potential delays to the line manager.
• Implement quality requirements across procurement, drawings, and site execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, UAE regulations, and quality standards.
• Experience in progress monitoring, procurement coordination, and site management.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• UAE construction experience is preferred.
