Jacobs is seeking a Project Director to lead the KSU Relocation Project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The project is a major EPC infrastructure and utility development program involving complex process, mechanical, electrical, and utility systems.
The Project Director is accountable for safe, on-budget, on-schedule delivery in line with contractual, quality, and operational requirements.
Project Leadership
- Provide overall leadership and governance for the KSU Relocation Project.
- Establish project strategy, execution plans, and delivery objectives aligned with client requirements.
- Lead large multidisciplinary project management, engineering, construction, commissioning, and commercial teams.
- Drive performance against schedule, cost, quality, and safety objectives.
Client and Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary senior representative to the client and executive stakeholders.
- Build working relationships with client leadership, EPC contractor management, authorities, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Lead executive meetings, progress reviews, and strategic decision-making forums.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and alignment with project and contractual objectives.
EPC Delivery Oversight
- Direct and oversee EPC contractor performance throughout all project phases.
- Integrate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Monitor contractor compliance with specifications, contractual obligations, and performance targets.
- Resolve major technical, commercial, and operational challenges affecting delivery.
Process and MEP Systems
- Provide executive oversight of process-driven and MEP-intensive systems through design, construction, testing, and commissioning.
- Integrate cooling towers, sewage treatment facilities, thermal utility generation, electrical generation, and utility distribution networks.
- Coordinate a 1.7 km service tunnel network, warehouses, maintenance workshops, and an administration building.
- Support design optimization, operational readiness, and interfaces among process, MEP, civil, and campus systems.
Commercial and Financial Management
- Maintain accountability for project budget, forecasting, cost control, financial performance, and profitability.
- Lead assessment and resolution of claims, variations, change orders, and commercial negotiations.
- Ensure robust risk management processes are implemented and maintained.
Schedule and Governance
- Ensure development and maintenance of integrated master schedules.
- Drive recovery plans to mitigate schedule risks and monitor critical path activities.
- Monitor contractor productivity, procurement status, commissioning readiness, milestones, and contractual completion dates.
- Establish project governance, lead risk and issue resolution, and chair executive reviews and steering committee meetings.
