About the Opportunity

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior Contract Manager to join its team at NEOM and provide contractual leadership across a major programme.

Manage commercial and contractual activities across a significant project and provide expert advice throughout the project lifecycle.

Work with the client’s commercial team, project leadership, and key stakeholders.

Contract Management

  • Manage contract administration activities throughout the project lifecycle and maintain contractual obligations, procedures, and timelines.
  • Review requests for proposals, tender documents, and contract terms to identify commercial risks, obligations, and non-compliance.
  • Lead or support negotiations relating to complex, sensitive, or high-value contractual matters.
  • Provide expert contractual advice to the client, project leadership, and key stakeholders.

Risk, Claims, and Reporting

  • Monitor contractual performance, risks, variations, claims, and commercial issues.
  • Prepare, assess, and negotiate claims, change requests, and contract variations.
  • Maintain clear and timely reporting on the project’s contractual position.
  • Maintain accurate contract records, correspondence, notices, and supporting documentation.

Team and Stakeholder Support

  • Collaborate with project, commercial, procurement, and legal teams to resolve contractual matters and support project delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance to contracts personnel and promote consistency, compliance, and commercial best practice.
  • Keep up to date with relevant contractual developments and industry practices to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline from an internationally recognised university is required.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience is required.
  • Chartered status with RICS, CIOB, or an approved equivalent is required.
  • Strong experience managing contracts on major infrastructure, building, or complex development projects is required.

Technical and Professional Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of contract administration, commercial negotiations, risk management, cost planning, and claims is required.
  • Proven ability to lead contract activities, provide technical guidance, and manage complex or sensitive contractual matters is required.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are required.
  • The role requires confidence working with clients, project teams, and senior management.
