Role Overview

  • The Projects Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall direction for the successful delivery of IMKAN’s development projects.
  • This role oversees the entire project lifecycle — from concept design through construction and handover — ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in large scale real estate or mixed use development, with a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage stakeholders, and align project execution with organizational strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight and leadership across all development and construction projects.
  • Translate IMKAN’s strategic vision into executable project plans, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Oversee project feasibility, planning, design management, procurement, construction, and handover phases.
  • Lead the planning and execution of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring delivery within approved timelines, budgets, and specifications.
  • Review and approve project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring efficiency and cost control.
  • Oversee the performance of consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure adherence to IMKAN’s standards and objectives.
  • Monitor progress, identify potential risks and delays, and implement mitigation measures proactively.
  • Ensure all projects comply with statutory, regulatory, and internal quality standards.
  • Establish and enforce best practices in project management, health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to maintain project governance and reporting integrity.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project management teams to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Foster strong collaboration between internal departments to achieve project success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven track record in managing large scale mixed use, residential, or commercial developments within the UAE.
  • Strong understanding of local authority regulations, codes, and standards (especially Abu Dhabi specific).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • PMP, RICS, or equivalent professional certification is an advantage.

Experience

  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in GCC.
  • A minimum of 10 years in a managerial role.

Languages

  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Fluency in Arabic is required.
