Responsibilities
- Handle and manage general cargo and project shipments, including full operational and cost control aspects
- Serve as point of contact for clients, partners, and other offices for project operations issues
- Ship all kinds of cargo, including out of gauge and heavy lift cargo across the globe
- Coordinate and negotiate with subcontractors, sourcing competitive rates
- Calculate and monitor project profits
- Support sales team in writing offers and proposals to clients
- Provide administration and support in daily business activities
- Support management in reporting
Requirements
- Successfully completed training in freight forwarding
- Work experience in the freight forwarding industry
- Proven track record of successfully executed logistics operations
- Know how in freight forwarding; experience in ocean freight including break bulk is an advantage
- Familiarization with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good organizational skills, customer focused with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (cross functional and cross cultural)
- Able to communicate in English, both written and verbal
