Job Description And Preferred Qualifications

KLA is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Manager (PCM) with expertise in cost estimating, cost control, planning & scheduling, and contracts management.

The PCM will collaborate closely with the Corporate Facilities team, Contractors/Consultants, A/E firms, Regulatory Bodies, and various internal teams including Legal, Real Estate, Finance, Purchasing, and Insurance.

The PCM will take ownership of cost, schedule, and contracts for all capital projects and will coordinate executive-level reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Key Responsibilities

Manage cost, schedule, and contracts for all capital projects

Coordinate with the Global Workplace Services (GWS) team for executive-level reporting (Monthly Business Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, Strategic Planning, Facilites Resource Allocation Meetings)

Issue project-level and portfolio-level reports

Support the GWS team in gathering project-level information for the Long-Range Plan

Liaise with corporate management to assist in obtaining project funding in FRAM (Facilites Resource Allocation Meeting)

Report on cost, schedule, risk, contracts, and issues for all global capital projects

Support Project Managers (PMs) during bid solicitation, tabulation, evaluation, and award

Management of Consultants/Contractors

Scope of Responsibility:

Handle a broad range of projects varying in dollar value and complexity, from simple to complex manufacturing retrofit projects

Develop project funding documents with the project team

Assist in budget, schedule, change management, cost and schedule risk analysis, cash flow analysis, and developing historical cost data for benchmarking

Review and analyze engineering and contractor cost estimates, bids, change orders, invoices, labor rates, and physical engineering/construction progress

Budget, track, and control KLA costs as well as engineer/contractor costs

Onsite presence required at least 3 days per week; travel approximately 20%

Technical Ability Requirements

Strong technical knowledge in construction, cost, and schedule management

Strong analytical skills for estimate analysis, bid evaluations, budget monitoring, cash flow analysis, risk analysis (Quantitative and Qualitative Risk modeling), and benchmarking project costs

Proficient in all types of estimating from conceptual through definitive construction estimates

Proficient in computer systems including MS Office, database programs, scheduling software, Excel spreadsheets.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Software Skills

Expert in Oracle Primavera Cloud, Primavera (P6) planning, Procore, Estimation software such as Timberline or similar, Excel, Visio, and other Office Tools, PowerBi.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.

Masters preferred

Minimum Eight (8) years of experience in commercial and industrial construction in project controls (Cost Control, Scheduling, and Estimating)

Preferred experience in the microelectronic or pharmaceutical industry with knowledge of cleanrooms and process piping/MEP scope

Experience in other related industries is also acceptable
