Responsibilities
- Adhere to corporate cost engineering procedures
- Prepare internal and external cost reports per procedures and scope of services
- Liaise with Client personnel as necessary
- Analyze and prepare work hour and cost forecasts for projects
- Attend and represent in meetings concerning cost matters
- Identify and analyze deviations and trends against budgets, investigate with relevant groups, and advise Project Manager/Project Controls Manager of corrective actions
- Review overall project status and forecast with Project Manager/Project Control Manager as required
- Ensure reconciliation on weekly and monthly basis between project cost reports and Accounting Department cost and billing information
- Maintain awareness and understanding of relevant systems operated by other departments
Requirements
- BSc Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years cost engineering experience in similar field
- Competent in all MS Office applications
- Good communication skills in English written and verbal
- Excellent technical numeracy
- Excellent time management and planning skills
- Experience in directing cost engineering functions including cost estimating, cost control, change management and cost analysis
- Experience with directing planning and scheduling functions including schedule development, control and analysis
- Strong leadership skills with ability to direct and motivate a team
- Advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, and construction projects in Oil & Gas industry
- Significant experience in project controls, commercial operations, or prime contract experience with emphasis on project controls and financial issues

Role Overview
- Wood is recruiting for a Project Control Engineer to join its technically challenging and interesting projects.
- The role is based in the Khobar Office in Saudi Arabia.
Expected Qualifications

- Specific experience and demonstrated skill in directing cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, change management and cost analysis
- Experience with directing, planning, and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to successfully direct and motivate a team inclusive of interacting with client personnel
- Advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, and construction projects in the Oil & Gas industry
- Significant experience in project controls, commercial operations, and/or prime contract experience with emphasis on project controls and financial issues
