About the Role
A non-profit foundation in Abu Dhabi seeks a Program Officer - Vocational Specialist to design and manage inclusive vocational training and employment-readiness programs for Youth of Determination.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement and deliver inclusive vocational training curriculum and programs
- Conduct needs assessments and stakeholder consultations to identify vocational gaps and employment opportunities
- Coordinate with families to develop, implement and track goals and development plans
- Maintain a database of interested, trained and ready candidates for internship or employment opportunities
- Support PODs throughout the employment journey from training to job placement and on the job adaptation
- Monitor progress of placed candidates with regular on site visits and follow up support
- Build and maintain a database of corporate partners and government entities offering vocational training and employment
- Design and deliver workshops for employers on inclusive hiring and workplace accommodations
- Support employers during recruitment processes including inclusive interview practices
- Act as liaison between families, workplace and youth of determination
- Represent the Foundation at external events, job fairs, and inclusion focused forums
Requirements
- University degree (bachelor’s or equivalent) preferably in Psychology, Vocation, or HR
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in vocation training, job placement, career counselling or human resources
- Understanding of behavior management protocol development
- Understand concept of supported employment
- Fluency in written and spoken English mandatory
- Experience working with People of Determination and/or inclusive workforce initiatives (desirable)
- Strong coordination, stakeholder engagement, and facilitation skills (desirable)
- Familiarity with tools such as Canva (desirable)
- Experience training job coaches (desirable)
- Arabic – desirable
- Sign language – desirable
