Production Unit Supervisor

The Production Unit Supervisor is responsible for the safe, consistent daily operation of the production of Photovoltaic cells following required quality standards.

Directs and coordinates activities of associates to achieve daily manufacturing objectives and maximize operational efficiency and profits.

Responds to production issues by pursuing and implementing solutions.

Support the vision, mission, and guiding principles of Suniva.

• Oversees and direct a team of process operators to achieve daily manufacturing objectives.
• Organizes and directs work assignments for assigned employees.
• Maintains a safe work environment which includes enforcing all safety policies and enforcing strict adherence to all PPE requirements.
• Monitors and ensures that all safety, quality, and other manufacturing and engineering procedures are implemented and followed by enforcing productivity, quality, cost, and customer standards.
• Actively participates in continuous improvement activities consistent with company objectives.
• Supports team leads and operator development through completion of all required training and mentoring as required.
• Conducts performance reviews and participate in continuing evaluations of all shift personnel.
• Monitors and ensures all finished products are within quality specifications.
• Ensures high standards of housekeeping, safety, and quality are maintained, including the 5S system.
• Monitors, investigates and documents ALL safety incidents and close calls per company policy
• Monitors employees’ attendance and coordinates employees' paid time off and maintain accurate timekeeping for employees.
• Monitors and ensures overall workflow of the lines, WIP levels and manufacturing processes cycle times are being met.
• Utilizes support teams to troubleshoot production issues as they arise by finding the root cause and putting corrective actions in place to ensure the issue is resolved promptly.
• Generates production reports and other required daily paperwork.
