Summary
The Supply Chain & Logistics Analyst is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, components, and services.
This role ensures uninterrupted production by maintaining optimal inventory levels, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring all purchases meet quality, cost, delivery, and compliance requirements.
The Supply Chain & Logistics Analyst is also responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound transportation, managing shipments of materials and finished goods, and ensuring timely delivery to support solar cell manufacturing operations.
This role plays a critical part in maintaining uninterrupted production by tracking shipments, resolving transportation issues, and ensuring compliance with trade, customs, and safety regulations.
Supply Chain
- Procure raw materials, consumables, spare parts, chemicals, and services critical to solar cell manufacturing. Issue purchase orders in accordance with approved requisitions, contracts, and supplier agreements. Source and qualify new suppliers to ensure supply continuity and cost competitiveness.
- Maintain inventory levels to support production schedules. Monitor MRP signals and prevent shortages. Expedite materials as needed..
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities. Support engineering changes and new product introductions.
- Maintain purchasing data in ERP/MRP systems. Generate reports related to spend and supplier performance. Logistics
- Coordinate inbound shipments of raw materials, chemicals, wafers, equipment, spare parts, and consumables. Arrange outbound shipments of finished solar cells or related products. Schedule domestic and international transportation. Track shipments and resolve delays..
- Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers. Obtain freight quotes and support carrier selection. Monitor carrier performance.
- Prepare and review bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and other shipping documents. Ensure compliance with import/export and trade regulations. Coordinate customs clearance.
- Align shipments with production schedules. Coordinate receiving schedules and dock appointments. Resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies..
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field or equivalent experience and 2–5 years of logistics coordination experience in manufacturing.
- Experience with domestic and international shipping.
- Knowledge of customs and trade compliance (UFLPA).
- Knowledge of Hazardous materials shipping.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient knowledge in Oracle or a similar ERP system
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
Working Conditions
Work is primarily in a climate controlled manufacturing facility with moderate to loud equipment and toxic chemicals.
