Job Description
The role
We're building the next generation of consumer products inside talabat through our New Ventures organization.
This is a 0→1 product role at the heart of that org: a Product Manager who can take ideas from concept to launch, and from launch to product-market fit, across a portfolio of new business bets.
You'll be a core Product Manager on the New Ventures team, shaping how millions of MENA shoppers experience entirely new categories and business models that don't yet exist on the platform.
Each venture behaves differently: different shoppers, different supply, different unit economics, different competitive dynamics.
The constants are ambiguity, speed, and a high bar for customer love.
You'll work directly with venture leaders, engineering, design, data, commercial, brand, and CX counterparts dedicated to each bet.
Expect to operate across multiple ventures during your time on the team, taking learnings from one and applying them to the next.

- Champion features that solve real shopper needs in whichever new venture you're embedded in: from acquisition and discovery to retention and repeat behavior.
- Build for scale: designing products that work across diverse shopper segments and MENA-specific market contexts.
- Work within a cross-functional team of Product, Engineering, and Data to build and ship impactful features.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships across your squad to accelerate execution and raise the quality of decisions.
- Collaborate closely with design and research to uncover unmet shopper needs and identify opportunities.
- Partner with commercial, marketing, and brand teams to define and launch go-to-market plans.
- Coordinate with other product teams to make sure the new venture is aligned with talabat's end-to-end customer lifecycle.
- Lead the discovery process for your squad: owning it end-to-end from problem framing to solution validation.
- Immerse yourself in understanding the shopper for whichever venture you're building: who they are, what they value, how they discover and buy, and what stands in their way.
- Combine customer interviews, data analysis, and market insights to find and de-risk opportunities.
- Rapidly ideate, prototype, and test solutions that move the venture's core metrics.
- Carry learnings forward. Apply what worked in one venture to the next, and help the team build a shared playbook for going from 0 to 1.
- Define and evolve the product strategy, balancing customer love with business impact.
- Prioritise problems and solutions based on customer needs and impact on squad KPIs.
- Enhance and scale the core experience through continuous iteration.
- Own the roadmap, ensuring alignment with the venture's strategic objectives.
Qualifications
- What did we order?
- You're an experienced Product Manager with at least 5 years in digital product management.
- You have successfully launched products to market, ideally including at least one 0→1 launch (new vertical, new business model, or new marketplace).
- AI-fluent in how you build and how you ship. You vibe-code prototypes to pressure-test ideas before engineering picks them up, ship products with AI capabilities built in where it genuinely improves the experience, leverage shared context libraries to move faster, and actively raise the AI literacy of the people around you.
- Curious across categories. You can ramp into a new domain quickly: get smart on the shopper, the supply side, the competitive set, and the economics within weeks, not months.
- Comfortable thinking about business model and unit economics, not just product. You can sketch the loop that makes a venture work and the levers that move it.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity. The strategy may be set or still emerging; the playbook is always being written. You'll need to form opinions with incomplete data and revise them when evidence demands it.
- Resilient at influencing partner teams without authority: engineering platforms you don't own, commercial teams with their own targets, brand HQs with their own approval cycles.
- Strong understanding of Agile product management and a solid grasp of how empowered product teams operate.
- Demonstrated fantastic verbal and written communication skills. You easily engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and can participate fluently in technical discussions with engineers.
- Experienced in defining solutions grounded in research and data. Confident running your own analysis, and reliant on user and stakeholder feedback to set personal objectives.
- Strong execution discipline. You keep your team unblocked and your stakeholders informed without becoming the bottleneck. Hands-on with tools like Jira.
- Enjoy breaking down complex problems into manageable iterations.
- Experience in e-commerce, marketplace, q-commerce, fintech, or a content/discovery-heavy consumer product is a strong plus. Experience taking a venture or product from zero to product-market fit is a very strong plus.
