The Product Engineer is responsible for the overall conformance of parts produced by the Operations group. Primary objectives include achieving cost reductions on existing products through improved design, process control, improving the quality of all castings, and supporting manufacturing to meet customer delivery timelines. The Product Engineer works with the Engineering Department in accordance with all PCC Structurals procedures and customer specifications.
Provide on demand technical assistance for manufacturing operations.
Root cause and corrective action ownership for all MRB.
Responsible for improving part manufacturability through process optimization.
Responsible for dimensional compliance through process optimization.
Focal for translating customer provided blueprints into inspection requirements.
Optimize part specific gaging requirements to improve part level dimensional conformance.
Coordinate the design of gaging/fixturing/tooling as it applies to the labor improvement initiatives.
Primary support for all dimensional evaluations including both AS9102 Form 3 and production CMM inspections.
Assists with Tooling & Special Charges projects.
May be assigned to special cost reduction initiatives as part of a multi-discipline team.
Follow-up on the progress of the project through the manufacturing process.
Work with supervisors and leads to assess risk to schedule.
Liaise with customer commercial and technical contacts

Reports directly to the Product Engineering Manager.
Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering preferred.
2 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry.
Broad knowledge of mechanical, industrial, or materials science engineering.
Mental and visual concentration on work while coordinating manual dexterity for sustained work periods.
Must have demonstrated ability to work with cross functional technical resources.
Must have good understanding of data processing, MS Excel.
Aerospace experience preferred.
Understanding of statistics preferred.
