About Engage
Engage is rebuilding property transaction infrastructure in the UAE as an operating system for buying, selling, and renting property.
The product is embedded in major brokerages and is used by brokers and agents across Dubai.
Internship Overview
This is a hands-on product design internship embedded with the product and design teams.
The intern will contribute to discovery, research, user flows, interaction design, and prototypes for a live product.
The role includes active coaching, direct product exposure, real ownership, portfolio work, and cross-functional experience.
Internship Basics
- The internship is based in Dubai and is onsite.
- The duration is three months.
- The stated start date is 1 September 2026.
- Compensation is unpaid.
What You Will Do
- Develop an understanding of user needs, motivations, and pain points through research, personas, and journey maps.
- Assist in identifying user problems and generating design solutions using design thinking methodologies.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that balance usability, accessibility, and visual consistency.
- Use prototyping tools to visualize and test design concepts, then iterate based on user feedback and data.
- Work with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure designs are aligned and feasible.
- Support user research, analyze findings, and apply insights to improve product designs.
What You Will Have
- A strong grasp of visual hierarchy, color theory, typography, and other fundamental design principles.
- Familiarity with Figma from real or academic projects.
- Ability to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that clearly communicate design thinking.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain design decisions.
- Empathy for users and understanding of user-centered design.
- An AI-first mindset and comfort using AI tools in a workflow.
- Curiosity, a proactive mindset, and willingness to learn quickly and take initiative.
- A portfolio of digital design work, including apps, websites, posters, brand work, game UI, or redesigns.
- Interest or coursework in product design, UX, or a related field; no specific degree is required.
- Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design practices is a plus.
