Role Overview
Engage is rebuilding infrastructure for property transactions in the UAE through a product used by brokers and clients.
The intern will join the engineering team to build and improve production frontend interfaces used by real customers.
The role provides live project work, active coaching, direct product exposure, and ownership of production-level frontend components.
Location
- The role is based in Dubai and is onsite.
Duration and Start
- The internship lasts 3 months.
- The stated start date is 1 September 2026.
Compensation
- The internship is unpaid.
What You Will Do
- Build and modify React UI components using the existing design system and patterns.
- Fix frontend bugs and small issues while learning the codebase.
- Translate Figma designs into responsive interfaces with designers.
- Write clean, readable code that follows team conventions and incorporate feedback.
- Test work across browsers and screen sizes before review.
- Participate in code reviews by giving and receiving feedback.
- Collaborate with backend engineers on frontend connections to APIs and data.
- Document reusable components and patterns.
What You Will Have
- Solid working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals.
- Some React experience through personal projects, coursework, a bootcamp, or a prior internship.
- Understanding of components, props, and state.
- Comfort reading other people's code and asking questions.
- Attention to detail regarding interface appearance and behavior.
- Comfort using AI coding tools to learn and work faster.
- Eagerness to learn unfamiliar workflows and systems.
- A computer science degree, bootcamp background, or equivalent self-taught experience.
