Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide a deployed supply chain project team responsible for all aspects of supply chain management including materials management, warehousing, expediting, procurement, subcontracts, negotiation and reporting.
- Monitor and report progress of all project procurement activities, ensuring team updates reports/systems with required information.
- Establish and manage the project/procurement status report (PSR) in line with project/client required on site dates and lead times.
- Establish and chair regular PSR meetings with client, procurement, engineering and/or project management personnel.
- Carry out supplier performance reviews and ongoing management ensuring corrective actions are taken where required.
- Ensure all statutory and legal requirements and procedures are complied with and all actions are fully auditable.
- Promote safe working practices and demonstrate safety leadership at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of supply chain experience demonstrating results and progression to a similar position
- Educated to ISCED Level 6 (Bachelor Degree or Equivalent)
- CIPS qualified or industry equivalent
- Detailed understanding of key subcontracting/procurement concepts and principles
- Experience with complex commercial evaluations, negotiations, and terms and condition qualification
- Excellent communication skills, written, oral and presentation

Job Description
- Wood is currently recruiting for a Procurement Team Lead to join its UAE business unit focusing on supervision and guidance of a deployed supply chain project team.
- This is a full time onsite position in Dubai, UAE with travel requirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the supervision and guidance of a deployed supply chain project team responsible for all aspects of supply chain management including materials management, warehousing, expediting, procurement, subcontracts, negotiation and reporting.
- Key aspects of the role include the supervision of the supply chain activities and assigned supply chain personnel working within the project.
- Clear understanding of the client’s head contract requirements including Wood responsibilities and incorporates those into appropriate project supply chain strategies, plans, procedures and terms and conditions.
- Regularly monitors and reports progress of all project procurement activities. Ensures team regularly update reports/systems with required information to allow accurate reporting and escalates any critical issues and risks to project management.
Qualifications
- Educated to ISCED Level 6 (Bachelor Degree or Equivalent)
- CIPS qualified or industry equivalent
- Record of skills training appropriate for job specific role.
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ SC experience demonstrating results and progression to a similar position.
