Seeking a Procurement Specialist to provide procurement and materials management support for projects in Qatar. The role involves developing procurement strategies, tracking materials, managing vendor lists, and supervising coordinators.

Responsibilities
- Provide procurement and materials management support for all ongoing projects including shutdown projects
- Provide pre gate 2 support to FDE/PED teams for finalizing project procurement strategies
- Provide budgetary offers and delivery schedules for long lead items from vendors
- Review and approve contractors' procurement and materials management processes and procedures
- Supervise SAP BOM update activities for projects as per project close out requirements
- Track and monitor project/shutdown materials to ensure delivery on site as per timeline
- Manage PED surplus materials inventory and blinding material for projects
- Procure long lead project materials through LNG Purchasing
- Review and approve project materials reconciliation reports
- Coordinate with QA/QC, Warehouse and Contractors for material inspections
- Act as custodian of Preferred Vendor List (PVL) and ensure regular updates
- Supervise work carried out by Materials coordinators
Requirements
- Experience in procurement and materials management for projects
- Knowledge of SAP BOM update activities
- Ability to manage vendor prequalification and preferred vendor lists
- Strong coordination and supervision skills

Role Overview
- Procurement and Materials Management support for all on going projects including shut down projects.
- Provide pre gate 2 support to FDE/PED teams for finalizing the Project Procurement strategies, provide budgetary offers/ delivery schedules for long lead items from vendors in preparation and finalization of project cost estimates and project schedules.
- Review and approval of Contractors Procurement and Materials management process and procedures.
- Supervision of SAP BOM update activities for projects as per Project close out requirements.
- Project / Shut down Materials tracking and monitoring to ensure that materials are delivered to meet the required on site dates as per the agreed project timeline.
- Management of PED Surplus materials inventory, Management of Blinding material for all on going projects and shut down projects.
- Procurement of long lead project materials through LNG Purchasing, Review and approval of project materials re conciliation reports, Coordination with QA/QC, Warehouse and Contractors for material inspections.
- Custodian of Preferred Vendor list (PVL) responsible for regular update based on regular Vendor prequalification approvals.
- Supervise the work carried out by Materials coordinators in line with their roles and responsibilities.
