About the Role
A confidential company is looking for a Procurement Manager to lead strategic procurement for CAPEX and OPEX categories for large agricultural projects in Tanzania. The role involves end-to-end procurement, supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, and team leadership.

Responsibilities
- Manage the end to end procurement process for agricultural machinery, irrigation systems, maintenance services and construction materials
- Develop procurement strategies based on project requirements and operational priorities
- Lead supplier sourcing, tendering, commercial evaluations and negotiations
- Prepare procurement recommendations and approval packages in accordance with the company DOA
- Negotiate contracts and monitor suppliers' compliance with commercial and delivery obligations
- Coordinate procurement activities with Engineering, Logistics, Finance and Legal departments
- Lead and support a small team of Procurement Specialists while remaining actively involved in key procurement projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement or Business
- 5 10 years of procurement experience in an international environment
- Experience managing CAPEX procurement projects valued between USD 5 million and USD 20 million annually
- Experience in agriculture, construction, infrastructure or industrial projects is an advantage
- Strategic sourcing and tender management skills
- Strong commercial negotiation skills
- Contract management skills
- Cost analysis and procurement planning skills
- Knowledge of Incoterms and international procurement
- Cross functional project management skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Dynamics 365
- English Upper Intermediate or above
