About the Role
A confidential manufacturing company in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Procurement Manager to lead procurement for metal fabrication, galvanizing, steel processing, and industrial chemicals.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and manufacturing requirements
- Lead the procurement of raw materials, steel products, galvanizing materials, industrial chemicals, equipment, and manufacturing consumables
- Establish, manage, and strengthen relationships with local and international suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors
- Identify new sourcing opportunities and negotiate favorable commercial terms, contracts, and long term agreements
- Ensure uninterrupted material availability while optimizing inventory levels and reducing procurement costs
- Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, supply chain risks, and industry developments to support strategic decision making
- Implement and continuously improve procurement policies, procedures, and SOPs
- Drive procurement governance, compliance, and supplier performance management initiatives
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Project teams to support business requirements
- Lead supplier evaluations, audits, qualification processes, and performance reviews
- Prepare procurement reports, spend analysis, and cost saving initiatives for senior management
- Develop and mentor procurement team members to achieve departmental objectives and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of procurement experience within manufacturing industries
- Proven experience in procurement related to metal fabrication, galvanizing, steel manufacturing, industrial chemicals, and surface treatment processes
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, production equipment, engineering materials, and industrial chemicals
- Strong network of suppliers and industry contacts within the UAE and international markets
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing procurement SOPs, policies, and governance frameworks
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract administration skills
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement management platforms
- Advanced Arabic and English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Must be currently located in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi
- Engineering background is highly preferred (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Metallurgical, or Chemical Engineering)
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent

Requirements

- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier development, and procurement transformation initiatives.
