Role Summary
Manage the Quantity Surveying function, including cost control, budgeting, contract administration, variations, and commercial management across construction projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for UAE construction projects.
- Manage suppliers, subcontractors, RFQs, evaluations, negotiations, and purchase orders.
- Identify and prequalify UAE-based vendors and ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with Project Management, Technical, Commercial, and Finance teams.
- Resolve procurement, technical, and commercial issues with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor vendor performance, procurement schedules, costs, quality, and risks.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly procurement reports for management.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, project requirements, contracts, and UAE regulations.
- Act as a procurement advisor to Project Management and proactively manage procurement risks and challenges.
Requirements
- Manage procurement strategies and activities for UAE construction projects.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Manage RFQs, quotations, comparisons, purchase orders, and contracts.
- Ensure timely delivery, competitive costs, and compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with Project, Commercial, Technical, and Finance teams.
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve procurement-related issues.
- Prepare procurement reports and provide recommendations to management.
- Proactively manage procurement risks and support successful project delivery.
