Role Overview
IMAR OVERSEAS is seeking a Procurement Engineer with technical and procurement knowledge in civil construction materials and subcontracting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities for civil construction projects.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare RFQs, compare quotations, and issue purchase orders.
- Coordinate with project, planning, and warehouse teams to ensure timely material delivery.
- Monitor procurement schedules and maintain cost efficiency.
- Ensure purchased materials comply with project specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain supplier relationships and procurement records.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- At least 10 years of procurement experience in construction or engineering companies is required.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction materials and market suppliers is required.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and coordination skills are required.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP or procurement systems is required.
- GCC experience is highly preferred.
