Core Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of strategic procurement plans in alignment with corporate goals and procurement governance frameworks.
- Manage end to end procurement operations, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee strategic sourcing, tendering, and contracting processes for goods and services to ensure cost effectiveness and quality standards.
- Drive supplier performance management through KPIs, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with business units to identify procurement needs, develop specifications, and ensure timely delivery aligned with operational priorities.
- Negotiate and finalize complex and high value contracts to secure favorable terms, mitigate risks, and optimize value for money.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for innovation, sustainability, and supplier diversification.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of procurement activities, budgets, and performance indicators to senior management.
- Support the Head of Procurement in developing policies, digital procurement initiatives, and transformation projects that enhance efficiency and transparency.
- Establish and build professional relationships with key suppliers (major equipment manufacturers/vendors).
- Manage the development of 'Procurement Profiling' and 'Suppliers Database' to outline the suppliers information as well as purchasing habits and patterns. Develop and manage Material Planning for goods and materials demanded by functions and ensure the creation of item specific forecasts over a roll
- Review and approve selection of the most suitable suppliers recommended by the Senior Officer Procurement, ensuring that is being offered quality and cost efficient services.
