Job summary
IFF is seeking a Process Engineer to support environmental sustainability and industrial operations.
The role is based in Haverhill, United Kingdom, and is explicitly on-site.
Where you will make a difference
- Own and monitor the Biological Effluent Treatment Plant for stable operation and environmental compliance.
- Optimize aeration, chemical dosing, and sludge management.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot daily operations and process upsets.
- Analyze process performance data to improve treatment efficiency.
- Manage sampling programs and compliance monitoring.
- Support environmental audits, reporting, and regulatory inspections.
- Drive continuous improvement and implement changes through MOC processes.
- Partner with site teams on health, safety, and environmental performance.
What makes you the right fit
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with industrial wastewater, biological treatment, or effluent treatment processes.
- Strong process optimization and operational troubleshooting knowledge.
- Ability to analyze process and compliance data.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting, and compliance standards.
