Private Computer Science Teacher

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality one-to-one Computer Science lessons.
• Support the student's school curriculum, homework, coursework, projects, and examination preparation.
• Teach programming, algorithms, computational thinking, data representation, computer systems, networks, and related topics.
• Identify knowledge gaps, create targeted learning plans, and prepare exercises, revision activities, and extension work.
• Monitor progress, maintain attainment records, and adapt teaching strategies to the student's needs.
• Communicate with the family and coordinate with the student's school or other educators where required.
• Maintain a positive, structured, encouraging, confidential, and discreet learning environment.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Strong Computer Science and programming knowledge with practical programming experience.
• Experience teaching school-age students in Computer Science and tailoring lessons to individual learning needs.
• Familiarity with the British curriculum, GCSE/IGCSE or A-Level Computer Science, and relevant examination requirements is preferred where applicable.
• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Education, or a related discipline is preferred.
• A recognized teaching qualification such as QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent credential is preferred.
• Positive and verifiable professional references are required.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills are expected.
• The appointment requires patience, professional maturity, discretion, sound judgment, adaptability, and independent working ability.

Working Arrangements

• This is a part-time private teaching position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
• Teaching will be scheduled around the student's school commitments and the family's schedule.
• Additional availability may occasionally be required during examinations, school holidays, academic transitions, or periods needing extra support.
• Occasional domestic or international travel may be required.
