Female Private English Tutor - KS3 & KS4

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver one-to-one English Language and Literature lessons at KS3 and KS4 level.
• Support reading, writing, analysis, grammar, vocabulary, assignments, revision, and examination technique.
• Prepare the student for relevant GCSE or IGCSE assessments and monitor progress regularly.
• Identify weaknesses, create intervention plans, and adapt teaching strategies to the student's needs.
• Maintain lesson and progress records and communicate academic development to the family.
• Work with other educators, tutors, schools, or advisers where required.
• Support continuity of learning during school holidays, examination periods, and family travel.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature and experience teaching or tutoring students aged approximately 11 to 16.
• Familiarity with the British curriculum, GCSE/IGCSE specifications, assessment objectives, and examination requirements.
• A recognized teaching qualification such as QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent credential is preferred.
• A degree in English, Education, or a related subject is preferred.
• Experience preparing students for GCSE or IGCSE English examinations is preferred.
• Verifiable professional references are required.

• Excellent communication, organization, interpersonal, patience, encouragement, discretion, and professional judgment are expected.
• The role requires independent work in a private household and a flexible, collaborative approach with the family and educational team.

Working Arrangements

• This is a full-time private teaching position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
• The schedule will be arranged around the student's school commitments, family schedule, and educational requirements.
• The role may require timetable adjustments during examinations, school holidays, academic transitions, family travel, or periods needing additional support.
• The appointment may be residential or non-residential, as applicable, and may include occasional domestic or international travel.
