The Opportunity
UniSC’s Print Services team plays an important role in supporting students, staff and the broader community by delivering high-quality print production, signage, merchandise and specialist printing solutions across multiple campuses. The team also manages the University’s self-service printing environment, multifunction device fleet and technical print support services.
In this role, you will coordinate and deliver expert print production services across digital, wide-format and finishing operations. You will oversee the setup, operation and maintenance of advanced print equipment, ensure consistently high-quality outcomes, and optimise production workflows to meet the diverse and evolving needs of the University community.
This is an opportunity to join a highly service-focused team where your technical expertise, attention to detail and commitment to customer service will make a direct contribution to the success of teaching, research and operational activities across UniSC. You will work closely with colleagues and customers across the University to deliver efficient, innovative and responsive print solutions.
You will
Provide expert print services in digital, wide format, signage and finishing services across all UniSC locations;
Coordination preparation, imposition and quotation of files for output for internal or external production while meeting required specifications; and
Assist in the management and service of multifunctional devices (MFDs) and provide technical advice for the self-serve printing system (MyPrint).
About you
You are a technically skilled print production professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality outcomes and exceptional customer service. With extensive experience operating digital print and finishing equipment, you combine strong attention to detail with a practical, solutions-focused approach. You enjoy working collaboratively while also taking ownership of your workload in a fast-paced production environment.
You will possess
Extensive experience in operating a wide range of high-volume digital printing, wide format and binding and finishing equipment;
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify and correct defects;
Provide strong analytical and problem solving skills;
Proficiency in using digital tools for record keeping and machine operation;
Skilled in various Imposition software programs including EFI Command Workstation, Flexi Print and Cut, Adobe Acrobat Pro;
Commitment to high quality client service with clear communication skills;
Understanding of Australian copyright legislation and requirements;
Ability to work autonomously and as a cooperative team member and use initiative in a high-volume work environment to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and support others as required; and
Capacity to undertake the physical requirements of the position and awareness of Workplace Health and Safety legislation and requirements.
Desirable
Completion of the expert fiery cutsheet certificate.
A current Queensland Class C driver’s licence.
A current forklift licence.
