Position Overview
Act as the technical authority for a large digital transformation program.
Set technology direction, solution design, and architectural standards across delivery teams building on Hive.
Ensure designs satisfy security, data sovereignty, scalability, and integration requirements.
Architecture and Standards
- Set technology selections, solution designs, and architectural standards across all delivery teams.
- Own the platform’s technical roadmap and support scaling for customers, integrations, and use cases.
- Review designs before production for security, data sovereignty, scalability, and integration requirements.
- Maintain architectural documentation and decision records.
Stakeholder Representation
- Represent architecture to clients, partners, and third-party vendors.
- Translate technical decisions into terms suited to each audience.
- Support pursuits and proposals with credible technical positioning and solution design.
- Work with delivery and engineering leads to resolve dependencies and design disputes.
- Mentor senior engineers and raise architectural standards across teams.
Experience and Expertise
- Substantial experience as a principal or lead solution architect on a large, multi-team platform.
- Deep technical fluency across cloud infrastructure, integration patterns, and platform security.
- Direct experience designing for data sovereignty and regulated environments.
- A track record of representing architecture to clients, partners, and vendors.
Judgment and Communication
- Strong judgment in balancing scalability, security, and delivery speed.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to move between technical detail and executive summaries.
- Defence or government experience is ideal.
