About the Role

Responsibilities
- Establish consistent weight control/management system and routines to support and maintain it
- Interface with all project disciplines to ensure correct estimation of weights of bulks & equipment
- Collect, manage, and monitor weight related information from all disciplines; create, maintain, and update weight database during all project phases
- Establish Weight and Load budget according to project requirements
- Ensure weight procedures and specifications are adhered to during design and construction phases
- Coordinate with engineers and project teams to resolve weight related challenges
- Work closely with design and engineering teams to optimize weight control systems
- Liaise with project management to ensure timely and cost effective project delivery and manage client relationships
Requirements
- 18+ years of experience in Weight Management or related field and 5+ years in project leadership
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field
- Background in weight management of Fixed/Floating Offshore structures
- Strong knowledge of weight control systems and techniques
- Proficient with weight management database systems and weight analysis tools (e.g., SACS, MON, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel)
- Strong leadership and project management skills

Purpose of the Role
- The Principal Weight Control Engineer is responsible for monitoring, analysing, and managing weight and CoG data for projects to ensure compliance with design requirements, safety criteria, and client specifications.
