Role Overview
Supermicro is seeking a Principal Solution Architect for its fast-growing server department.
The role works with external clients and the design team to improve storage server products and develop market-facing solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Architect and develop software use cases for rack management, power, and cooling.
- Lead software design decisions to optimize datacenter space, power, and cooling efficiency.
- Analyze customer environments and requirements to create architectural designs and identify gaps.
- Manage technical solutions that address customer needs and align with business objectives.
- Collaborate with product, production, sales, and field technical teams.
- Drive product and process improvements based on customer feedback.
- Develop user documentation, troubleshooting guides, scripts, and runbooks.
- Improve internal processes for customers and product teams.
- Build customer credibility and relationships to support solution adoption.
- Use project management, technical, and communication skills to coordinate stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong technical expertise in solution architecture and storage server products.
- Strong project management skills for coordinating technical solutions and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across product, production, sales, and field technical teams.
- Ability to analyze customer environments and requirements and translate them into architectural designs.
- Ability to build customer credibility and support successful adoption of technical solutions.
