About the Role

Responsibilities
- Manage process engineering services that meet Worley, its customers' and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget
- Manage process engineering project requirements
- Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and comply with required checking procedures
- Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes
- Provide advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities; oversee requisitions, technical bid evaluations and purchase order preparation
- Act as the process engineering Lead on specific projects
- If responsible for a team: outline project requirements including promoting workshare, assign tasks and supervise progress; ensure required services meet requirements on time and within budget
- Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its Customer's requirements
- Keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in process engineering
- If required, assist and support junior personnel within the process engineering team
- Communicate effectively with the process engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer
- Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required
Requirements
- Full Time Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university
- MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is mandatory; candidates not holding this must be willing to achieve within probationary period
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage
- Extensive work experience at a senior level within the Oil & Gas industry
- Must have vast design experience within the oil and gas industry, with last 5 years at least leading a team of process discipline engineers and designers
- Extensive technical, practical and leadership experience in the process discipline in the same or similar industry, including experience managing and leading multi disciplinary projects and teams

Purpose
- You will provide process engineering services on large or mega projects to Worley and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the process engineering team.
Responsibilities

- Work within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems.
Safety
- Responsible for personal safety and working within the Occupational Health & Safety procedures.
- Competent in implementing HSE in the design process, focuses on process safety and strives to use best practice.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
- Full Time Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
- MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage.
Industry Specific Experience
