About the role

Egis is expanding its UK Water Business across flood risk, civil engineering, nature-based solutions and hydraulic modelling.

The role leads wastewater modelling services for water companies, supporting urban drainage and sewer modelling and informing asset investment decisions.

The position helps establish and expand Egis's wastewater modelling capability in the UK.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead InfoWorks ICM network modelling expertise and promote best practice and innovation.
  • Promote blue and green infrastructure and sustainable drainage systems.
  • Mentor colleagues and supervise deliverable quality.
  • Deliver hydraulic modelling services with teams across the UK, Ireland and France.
  • Provide technical advice, manage projects and support optioneering and detailed design.
  • Support tenders, proposals, business development and client relationships.
  • Participate in industry events and present Egis technical capability.

Experience and qualifications

  • Experience developing, verifying, calibrating, checking or reviewing InfoWorks ICM models for wastewater and urban drainage networks.
  • Good understanding of hydrological assessment and analysis, including FEH and ReFH.
  • Experience developing digital tools to improve hydraulic modelling efficiency.
  • BSc/Eng or MSc/Eng in civil, water or environmental engineering.
  • At least 8 years of experience and a CIWEM or similar professional qualification obtained or near completion.
  • Demonstrable UK water-sector experience and knowledge of regulator requirements and technical standards.

Desirable experience

  • Water quality modelling experience is useful but not essential.
  • Scripting or automation knowledge such as Python or Ruby is advantageous.
  • Experience with TUFLOW, MIKE or Flood Modeller Pro is beneficial.
  • Flood risk modelling, assessment and mapping experience is beneficial.

Working arrangement

  • The role is advertised as hybrid and flexible, with locations including London, Bristol and Manchester.
