Principal Insights Analyst

Job Purpose

Responsibilities

• Manage engagements from problem definition through methodology selection, data collection oversight, and analysis.
• Deliver complex insights through visualizations and narratives that produce actionable outcomes.
• Define measures, metrics, and KPIs with business stakeholders.
• Lead, coach, and develop direct reports in analytical and statistical skills.
• Improve analytics capabilities and self-service access through federated analytics communities.
• Build inclusion and sustained excellence across the enterprise Insights and Analytics community.
• Use data models, business logic, and self-service capabilities to deliver high-value projects.
• Embed quality, usability, and business ownership into each use case.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or Honours in Business or Information Technology from an internationally recognised university.
• At least 8 years of experience in IT or a related field.
• Experience with data warehouses, data lakes, visualization toolsets, and analytics platforms.
• Experience in one or more business domains, including customer, commercial, operations, finance, or human resources.
• Experience working in diverse international teams and complex enterprise data and analytics environments.

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of enterprise data warehouse logical modeling approaches such as 3NF, Data Vault, and Star Schema.
• Strong analytics, business intelligence, communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of data warehousing principles, statistics, mathematics, and analytical methods.
• Hands-on knowledge of SQL, Python, and R.
• Knowledge of airline-industry data and KPIs, especially for commercial applications.
• Experience with physical data models is a plus.
