About the Role
Worley seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer for onshore oil & gas projects in Qatar. The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, MME accreditation, and extensive experience in electrical design and engineering of onshore projects, including HV/LV equipment and power system studies.

Responsibilities
- Manage electrical engineering services that meet Worley, its customers' and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
- Manage electrical engineering project requirements.
- Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and comply with required checking procedures.
- Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes.
- Provide advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
- Oversee requisitions, technical bid evaluations and purchase order preparation.
- Act as the electrical engineering Lead on specific projects.
- If responsible for a team: outline project requirements, assign tasks, supervise progress, ensure services meet requirements.
- Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its Customer's requirements.
- Keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical engineering.
- Assist and support junior personnel within the electrical engineering team if required.
- Communicate effectively with the electrical engineering team and project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Full Time Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
- MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is mandatory
- Vast experience in Electrical design and engineering of oil & gas / large industrial projects in Onshore projects
- Experience in brown fields & asset services type project / contracts
- Experience in MV cable sizing based on IEC60287 using CYMECAP will be an added advantage
- Qatar project experience with knowledge of Kahramaa standards is preferred
- Experience with 132kV GIS substation design, 132kV/33kV cable sizing, 16MW to 20MW compressor motor, Power System Study, unit and non unit protection setting, HV/LV Equipment Specification, MR/TBE, Vendor Drawing Review

Education and Experience
- Full Time Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage.
- Must have vast experience in Electrical design and engineering of oil & gas / large industrial projects in Onshore projects.
- Experience in brown fields & asset services type project / contracts.
- Experience in MV cable sizing based on IEC60287 using CYMECAP will be an added advantage.
- Qatar project experience with knowledge of Kahramaa standards is preferred.
- Experience with 132kV GIS substation design, 132kV/33kV cable sizing, 16MW to 20MW compressor motor, Power System Study, unit and non unit protection setting, HV/LV Equipment Specification, MR/TBE, Vendor Drawing Review.
- Sound Report Writing skills.
- Prepare Design Basis Memorandum for the project.
- Feasibility and Concept Optimization Study, Pre FEED, FEED, Detail Engineering Design.
