About the Role
Worley seeks a Principal Civil Engineer to lead civil/structural design for onshore oil & gas projects in Doha. You will manage a team, ensure technical excellence, and oversee project deliverables.

Requirements
- Full Time Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university
- MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is mandatory
- Extensive work experience at a senior level within the Oil & Gas industry
- Sound design experience within the oil and gas industry in Onshore projects, with last 5 years leading a team of Civil Structural discipline engineers and designers
- Extensive technical, practical and leadership experience in Civil Structural discipline
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage

- Ensures team member adherence to accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
- Supports the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates.
- Contributes to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
- Uses local/global standards to support technical excellence.
- Identifies software necessary to enable Civil Structural group to function effectively.
- Completed structural analysis and design of on shore oil and gas processing facilities.
- Infrastructures (Electrical Substations, Potable and Foul water pumping stations and water tanks).
- Buildings (Utility and Non utility buildings).
- Ensures recognised onshore & offshore engineering practices applicable to Civil Structural design engineering are adopted.
- Review designs, sketches and reports with supporting calculations for projects.
Additional Responsibilities
- Collaborates with project team in review of project documentation such as proposals, estimates, budgets and schedules.
- Leads weekly Civil Structural meetings, reviews progress reports and required checking procedures.
- Initiate, manage and supervise engineering assignments on projects.
- Organise and manage all aspects of the workload of a team of Civil Structural discipline engineers and designers.
- Understands and applies the Project Execution Plan (PEP) requirements.
- Reviews data from multiple sources and prepares engineering studies, analyses, calculations, and recommend actions.
- Crafts recommendations and reviews final documentation prior to customer approval.
- Determines technical issues, defines alternate solutions, establishes pros/cons for multiple solutions.
- Establish a list of discipline deliverables. Controls, monitors and progresses these deliverables.
- Reviews final documentation incorporating all relevant information and pursues customer approval.
- Review similar documentation to assist others and reviews/authorizes work done by direct reports.
- Lead the production of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and reports.
Quality Assurance
- Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems.
- Work with project managers/project engineers to ensure all projects are set up and executed in full compliance with Worley Project Management Process (WPMP) and General Management System (EMS).
- Monitors the closure of all identified risks and opportunities.
Safety
- Responsible for personal safety safe working practices. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
- Promoting health, safety and environmental awareness.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
- Full Time Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
- MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage.
Industry Specific Experience
- Extensive work experience at a senior level within the Oil & Gas industry.

- Extensive technical, practical and leadership experience in the Civil Structural discipline.
