Pricing Analyst (Asia Pacific)

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Provide pricing structure analyses and support deal qualification, structuring, packaging, and competitive pricing propositions.
• Optimise vendor and regional costing with Sales while mitigating organisational, channel, and geographic risks.
• Analyse pricing data, market trends, competitive pressures, and recurring deal issues to derive commercial insights.
• Create pricing tools and templates aligned with business standards.
• Perform scenario, what-if, and sensitivity analyses during deal structuring.
• Transfer pricing knowledge to the delivery team and capture reusable policies, models, and deal learnings.

Experience and capabilities

• Bring seasoned IT industry knowledge, including competitors, market trends, and business needs.
• Understand vendor pricing and commercial models, including Cisco, Microsoft, and VMware licensing models.
• Demonstrate analytical, research, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Build and maintain cross-functional relationships and work effectively under pressure.
• Maintain knowledge of product and service offerings, including new offerings.

Academic qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Commercial, or a related field.

Required experience

• Experience working with business intelligence software and in a similar related role.
• Pricing experience as a consultant or practitioner developing and implementing innovative pricing solutions.
• Commercial modelling experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, or similar tools.
