Role Overview
The Associate Credit Analyst works under the supervision of a senior manager.
The role supports evaluation of the creditworthiness and risk of external parties seeking IT services, solutions, or products on credit.
The position supports career development in finance, credit analysis, risk management, and financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review credit applications and analyse financial statements, credit reports, and other information to assess creditworthiness.
- Evaluate credit risk, assist with credit limits, and apply credit scoring methodologies under supervision.
- Prepare credit analysis reports, risk assessments, supporting documentation, and customer account reports.
- Monitor customer accounts and support credit reviews, credit limit amendments, and compliance with policies.
- Support invoice processing, customer portal uploads, customer onboarding, master data maintenance, and document collection.
- Support collections through customer follow-ups, invoice query resolution, payment coordination, and invoice resubmissions.
- Identify opportunities to improve credit, billing, and collections processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Knowledge of accounting practices and principles and an understanding of financial statements, credit analysis, and risk assessment.
- Understanding of accounts receivable, collections processes, customer account management, customer portals, and invoicing systems.
- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- A solutions-oriented, proactive approach and ability to work under deadlines and in stressful situations.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
- Entry-level experience in credit analysis, accounts receivable, collections, finance operations, or a related finance role is preferred.
- Experience with financial systems, accounting software, or ERP platforms is advantageous.
